This week was the official kick-off of my new art+food installation called GastroGeography x Auckland Central to be premiered on August 19.
An incredible group of people from AUT, Auckland Uni, Auckland Council, and Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, Tangata whenua of central Tāmaki Makaurau, came together for the first time ever for a day of foraging native plants at Auckland Domain. See all the images here.
In collaboration, we harvested 9 different botanicals, all of which will now be made into sensorial expressions at the installation, a unique and original taste of place and time.
