What would a gala dinner look like if all the floral decor were indigenous to Aotearoa New Zealand?
Yesterday, a group of advanced floristry students from MIT, their lector Lynette Gum and botanical artist Mamakan went on a collective journey of discovery.
At Velskov we braved the wind and the rains to harvest the most beautiful and interesting flowers, plants, woods, and fungi that our native forests have in abundance.
The results will be revealed on Friday 19th of August at the Winterseriues gala dinner at AUT - Auckland University of Technology.
